Amazing Multi-touch Wall in Cannes

June 24th, 2009 by Brian Zaik

I just found this video on Digg. It covers the design of a multi-touch wall by Schematic that looks incredible. They make the point that human-interactive convergence technologies are the way of the future, and I generally agree. In short, I’m very excited by the possibilities that Concerto might have with interactive technologies like gestures and multi-touch.

This is pretty incredible. Amazing technology. While we’ve seen a lot of hype (not undeserved, I might add) around these new technologies, there’s a lot of interesting work ahead. This article over at Ars about developers working on the MS Surface covers some pretty thought-provoking ideas about the future of collaborative computing and is definitely worth a read: “Light touch: a design firm grapples with Microsoft Surface” [arstechnica.com].
